Ages 13 to 17
Teens' classes
Bachata and salsa for ages 13 to 17, with a partner or a friend.
Teens learn to lead and follow, to dance close and with respect, and to hold their own on a social dance floor. Classes run in Spanish and in English, and teens can bring a friend to their first class.

What a class is like
- 01
Step 1: Warm-up
Music on, a few minutes of moving and a check on last week's pattern.
- 02
Step 2: A new pattern
The teacher shows one new turn or change of direction, first alone, then with a partner.
- 03
Step 3: Lead and follow
Partners practice the pattern and change every few minutes, so every dancer leads and follows.
- 04
Step 4: Open circle
A circle at the end, where anyone may step in, or sit out a song.
What to wear and bring
Clothes that move
Clothes you can move in. Long hair is tied back.
